Crafted Call can host a complete public website for your gallery — pages, navigation, images, forms, and analytics — that you edit yourself, no coding required. Your website pulls from the same content you already manage in Crafted Call (exhibitions, calls for art, events, artworks, members), so it stays current as you run your programs.
This guide covers the Website builder inside the admin. Custom Website is a paid add-on; see Pricing & Availability below.
Finding the Website Builder
Look for the Website section in the admin sidebar (the globe icon). It's a top-level section with its own set of pages:
Pages — build and edit the pages of your site
Media — upload and manage images
Navigation — arrange your header and footer menus
Templates — start from a professionally designed layout
Forms — build reusable contact and intake forms
Analytics — see traffic and engagement
Settings — identity, theme, SEO, social links, and domains
Open Website to land on the builder home. What you see depends on where you are:
No site yet — you'll see a short form to create your site. Give it a name and you're started.
Site created — you'll see your website dashboard with quick links to each area, your live web address, and a View site button.
By default your site lives at yourgallery.craftedcall.com. You can connect your own domain later (see Custom Domains).
Building Pages with Widgets
Pages are built from widgets — drag-and-drop content blocks you add, arrange, and configure. You don't write any HTML (though you can embed your own if you want to). Add a widget, fill in its settings, reorder it, and preview as you go.
There's a wide library of widgets. A few of the most useful:
Layout and structure
Hero Banner — a full-width opening section with an image, artwork, or color background
Two Columns / Three Columns — arrange other widgets side by side
Spacer and Divider — control spacing and add section breaks

Text and storytelling
Rich Text — formatted headings, paragraphs, and links
Pull Quote and Quote Collection — highlight a statement or gather several
Timeline — tell your gallery's story chronologically
Influences — showcase artistic influences and inspirations
Countdown — count down to an opening, deadline, or event
Artwork and exhibitions
Featured Artworks and Artwork Grid — surface pieces from your catalog
Portfolio Preview — preview an artist's portfolio
Exhibition List and Past Exhibitions Archive — current and historical shows
Call for Art — promote an open call and link to the submission form
Events, members, and visitors
Event List and Class Schedule — upcoming programming with registration
Membership CTA and Member Directory — promote membership and list member artists
Visitor Hours — your gallery's open hours
Engagement and embeds
Contact Form, Custom Form, and Newsletter Signup — capture inquiries and subscribers
Button Block and CTA Banner — drive visitors to a clear next step
Image Gallery and Slideshow — visual collections
Impact Stats and Contribution Tiers — numbers and giving levels
Team / Staff and Sponsors — people and partners
Video Embed, Map Embed, and Embed (HTML / iframe) — drop in outside content
Smart Artwork Recommendations and AI Artist Bio — AI-assisted blocks that draw on your content
The exact widgets you can place depend on the page you're editing and your plan, so your palette may differ slightly from the full list above.
Adding images
Use the Media area to upload images once and reuse them anywhere on your site. When a widget needs an image, the visual media picker lets you choose from what you've already uploaded or add a new file on the spot.
Starting from a Template
If you'd rather not begin with a blank page, open Templates. The Site Templates gallery offers professionally designed layouts with complete page structures and placeholder content. Pick one that fits your gallery, then swap in your own text and images. It's the fastest way to a polished site.
Navigation Menus
The Navigation area controls how visitors move around your site. You manage two menus:
A header menu at the top of every page
A footer menu at the bottom
Menu items link to your pages, and top-level items can have nested submenu items — handy for grouping, say, several exhibition pages under one "Exhibitions" heading. Reorder items by dragging them into the order you want.
Forms
Use Forms to build reusable contact and custom intake forms once, then drop them onto any page with the Contact Form or Custom Form widget. Submissions come back to you inside Crafted Call so nothing gets lost in a separate inbox.
Theme, SEO, and Going Live
Open Settings to control your site's identity and appearance:
Identity — site name, logo, and favicon
Theme — colors and styling so the site matches your brand
SEO — default page title and description that search engines and social previews use
Social links — link out to your social profiles
Domains — connect a custom domain (see below)
Coming-soon mode — new sites start in a private "coming soon" state. When you're ready, enable the site from Settings to make it public.
Custom domains
You can publish your site on your own web address (for example gallery.myorganization.org) instead of the default yourgallery.craftedcall.com. Adding, verifying, and activating a domain — including DNS and SSL — is covered step by step in Custom Domains.
Analytics
The Analytics area shows how your site is performing — traffic and visitor engagement over time — so you can see which pages and announcements are landing.
Already Have a Website Elsewhere?
You don't have to replace an existing website to use Crafted Call. If you keep your main site on another platform, you can embed your live gallery, calls, or exhibitions into it with a snippet of code. See Embedding Your Gallery on Another Website. The hosted Website Builder is the right fit when you want Crafted Call to be your full public site.
Pricing and Availability
The Custom Website is a paid add-on — it is not bundled into a regular plan, even on the top tier. There are two parts:
An ongoing subscription for the hosted site (currently $30/month, or $300/year).
An optional one-time build fee (currently $599) if you'd like the Crafted Call team to build the site for you instead of starting it yourself.
The add-on is offered alongside the Premier plan. Pricing and availability can change, so confirm the current details under Settings → Billing or reach out to us. For a full breakdown of plans and what's included, see Pricing Plans & Feature Limits.
Troubleshooting
I don't see a Website section in my sidebar.
The Website builder is a paid add-on and only appears for organizations that have it. Check Settings → Billing, or contact us to add it. You also need an owner or admin role to manage the site.
I created my site but it's not showing up publicly.
New sites start in "coming soon" mode. Open Website → Settings and enable the site to make it live. Once enabled, the View site button on the dashboard opens your public site.
My custom domain isn't working.
Domain setup involves DNS changes that can take time to propagate. Follow the full walkthrough in Custom Domains, which covers verification and SSL.
A widget I expected isn't in the list.
The available widgets depend on the page you're editing and your plan. Some blocks (like events or membership widgets) tie to features that may need a specific plan or add-on.
Form submissions aren't reaching me.
Form responses are stored in Crafted Call rather than emailed to a separate address. Check the relevant area in the admin, and confirm the form widget on your page is pointing at the form you built under Website → Forms.
