Gallery labels for every organization, exports that carry the whole artwork record, and a live jury cutoff preview
A packed start to September: every organization can now design and print gallery labels, submission exports carry the full artwork record and call exports carry image links, the finalize panel previews a cutoff before you commit and never drops a tied piece, entry fees can wait until acceptance, and written descriptions of every artwork image now come standard.
Print-ready gallery labels for every organization
Label design and printing now comes with every organization. Place the artwork photo right on the label, print the artwork description, set italics per field, and let a long statement shrink to fit instead of clipping. Quarter-sheet, third-sheet, and 8-up layouts join the sheet lineup, you can print just the submissions you select, and watermarked draft labels let you prepare a show while jurying is still under way. No font upload needed: the standard print faces are built in.
Exports that carry the whole artwork record
Every submission export, from a single call to your organization-wide archive, now includes medium, dimensions, price and year, always scoped to the filters you have applied. Exporting the submissions you tick in the list also carries a link to each image at its original size; those links work for a few hours after the download, so use them soon. The Export dialog's own CSV carries the artwork record and alt text without image links. A new Squarespace product-import format turns a call's submissions into a ready-to-upload product file, titled with the artwork and artist together, with an image link at the size you choose.
Alt text, written for you
Crafted Call now writes a descriptive alt text for every artwork image automatically, so screen-reader visitors get a real description of each piece. Admins can review and edit any description, artists are no longer asked to write their own, and the text travels with your exports.
A cutoff preview that never drops a tied piece
When you finalize a jury round or close it with a top-N cutoff, the panel previews how many submissions the threshold would mark before you commit, and says how many sit tied at the boundary. Tied pieces all advance together, so a cutoff never silently drops one of two equal scores. You can still adjust individual decisions afterward.
Charge the entry fee only when an artist is accepted
Calls can now defer their entry fee to acceptance: artists enter free, and accepted artists receive the fee along with their acceptance notice. Organizers can comp, revoke, or refund an acceptance fee, and an artist sees the fee as due only once their work is actually in the show.
Image and price-range questions on your submission forms
Custom call questions gained two new types: ask artists for an additional image, or for a price range. Answers appear on the admin submission views, admins can correct them on an artist's behalf, and they export alongside everything else.
Audience lists you can shape in bulk
Subscriber management gained cross-page selection with select-all-matching, add-to-list and tagging actions that respect your current filters, a segment detail page with editable list membership, and bulk selection that works just as well from a phone.
An admin navigation organized around your day
The admin sidebar now separates Programming from day-to-day Operations, and Classes & Workshops has a home of its own, so the pages you use most are fewer clicks away.
