If you're selling work through Crafted Call or affiliated galleries, you'll earn revenue from sales. This guide explains how to view your earnings, set up payouts, and understand how commissions work.
Viewing Your Dashboard Earnings
Your Dashboard shows a real-time snapshot of your earnings:
To access your earnings:
Log into your Crafted Call account
Go to Dashboard or My Account
Look for "Earnings,""Sales," or "Revenue" section
You'll see:
Total earnings to date (all-time revenue)
Current balance (amount ready to payout)
Pending earnings (sales not yet paid out)
Recent transactions (list of recent sales)
View detailed transaction history:
Click "View All Transactions" or "Earnings History"
Filter by date, gallery, or status
Download transaction reports for your records (useful for taxes)
Update frequency: Earnings typically update within 24–48 hours of a sale. If a sale isn't reflected, wait a day and refresh the page.
Understanding Commission Structure
When you sell work through a gallery on Crafted Call, both you and the gallery earn a percentage:
The exact percentage depends on your agreement with the gallery. This is usually set when you list the work for sale or by the gallery's standard policy.
Ask questions. If you're unsure what commission split applies, contact the gallery. It's important to know before listing work.

Setting Up Payout Methods
Before you can receive earnings, you need to set up a payout method. Crafted Call supports three options:
1. ACH Bank Transfer (Recommended)
ACH (Automated Clearing House) transfers money directly to your U.S. bank account.
To set up ACH:
Go to Account Settings > Payout Methods
Click "Add ACH Account"
Enter your bank routing number and account number
Verify your bank account (Crafted Call deposits two small amounts; you confirm the amounts)
Your bank account is now active for payouts
Benefits:
Direct to your bank account (fastest method)
No fees
Usually processes in 3–5 business days
Requirements:
U.S. bank account (personal or business)
Routing number and account number (on your checks or from your bank's website)
2. Check (Mailed Payment)
Crafted Call mails you a physical check for your earnings.
To set up check payments:
Go to Account Settings > Payout Methods
Select "Check Mailing Address"
Provide your mailing address
Save
Benefits:
Simple, no tech setup required
Good if you prefer paper records
Drawbacks:
Slower (mail delivery time)
No immediate confirmation of arrival
Less secure than digital transfer
3. Stripe Connect (Advanced)
Stripe Connect links your Stripe account directly to Crafted Call.
To set up Stripe Connect:
Go to Account Settings > Payout Methods
Click "Connect Stripe Account"
You'll be directed to Stripe to authorize the connection
Follow Stripe's identity verification process
Return to Crafted Call to confirm the connection
Benefits:
Most flexible (Stripe handles payout logistics)
Fast processing
Good for artists with their own Stripe business account
Requirements:
Stripe account
Identity verification with Stripe
U.S. tax information (EIN or SSN)
Pro tip: ACH bank transfer is the most straightforward for most artists. Set it up once and you're done.
Requesting a Payout
Once you have earnings and a payout method set up:
To request a payout:
Go to Dashboard > Earnings
Click "Request Payout" or "Withdraw Funds"
Enter the amount you want to withdraw (must be above a minimum, usually $10–$50)
Confirm your payout method (ACH, check, or Stripe)
Click "Request Payout"
What happens next:
Crafted Call processes the payout within 1–3 business days
You'll receive a confirmation email
Funds arrive in your account per your chosen method
Payout schedule:
You can request payouts anytime (no waiting period)
Some galleries run scheduled payouts (weekly, monthly)
Check with your gallery for their specific schedule
Payout Status & Tracking
To check payout status:
Go to Account Settings > Payout History
You'll see:
Date requested
Amount
Status (Pending, Processing, Completed, Failed)
Payout method used
Status meanings:
Pending: Waiting to be processed (typically within 1 day)
Processing: Payout is in progress (usually 1–3 days)
Completed: Funds have been sent to you
Failed: Something went wrong (contact support for help)
Tax Information & Reporting
You are responsible for reporting earnings for taxes. Keep records of all sales.
1099 Forms
If your earnings exceed $600 in a calendar year, the gallery or Crafted Call may send you a Form 1099-NEC for tax reporting.
1099 forms:
Report your earnings to the IRS
You'll receive a copy and so will the IRS
You must report this income on your tax return
What to do:
Keep the 1099 for your records
Include the income on your tax return (Schedule C if you're self-employed)
Consult a tax professional if you're unsure how to report
Quarterly Estimated Taxes
If you expect significant earnings, you may need to pay estimated taxes quarterly to avoid penalties.
Check with a tax professional if:
Your earnings exceed $400 annually
You have no other income sources
You're not having taxes withheld
Tracking Income
Keep detailed records:
Download transaction reports from your Crafted Call dashboard
Store receipts and payout confirmations
Track expenses related to your art (materials, shipping, etc.)
Business deductions: If you're self-employed, you can deduct business expenses (supplies, equipment, studio rent, shipping). Keep receipts and consult a tax professional about what qualifies.

Setting Prices & Commission Negotiations
When listing work for sale:
You set the retail price (what customers pay)
The gallery applies the commission percentage
You receive: Retail Price × (100% - Commission%)
Example:
You set price at $200
Gallery commission is 30%
Gallery receives: $200 × 30% = $60
You receive: $200 - $60 = $140
Can you negotiate commissions?
Some galleries have fixed commission rates (non-negotiable)
Others may negotiate based on:
Volume of sales
Exclusivity agreements
Long-term relationships
Gallery size and visibility
Ask the gallery about their commission structure upfront. Clear agreements prevent misunderstandings later.
