Building Email Templates

Email templates streamline campaign creation and ensure consistent branding across your communications. Crafted Call's template builder lets you design professional emails without coding knowledge.

Creating a New Template

To create a template, navigate to Marketing > Templates and click New Template. Give your template a descriptive name—for example, "Call Launch - Standard Layout" or "Weekly Newsletter." This name is internal only and helps you organize templates by use case.

Tip: Create templates for your most common communication types (call announcements, exhibition notifications, newsletter formats) to save time when launching campaigns.

Understanding Content Blocks

Templates are built from modular content blocks. Each block serves a specific purpose and can be added, rearranged, or removed as needed.

Text Block - The most flexible block type. Supports paragraphs, headings, lists, and basic formatting (bold, italic, underline). Use text blocks for introductions, descriptions, and explanatory content. The editor includes a WYSIWYG toolbar for formatting.

Image Block - Displays a single image. Upload from your computer or reference an image URL. You can set alt text for accessibility and specify link destinations (e.g., link an image to a call application form). Images are automatically responsive and scale appropriately on mobile devices.

Button Block - A clickable call-to-action. Customize the button text, link destination, and color. Buttons are ideal for directing subscribers to apply, view an exhibition, or register for an event. Position buttons prominently in your template.

Exhibition Block - Displays details about one of your gallery's exhibitions. Automatically pulls title, dates, description, and featured image. Useful for promoting upcoming shows or featured artists. The block is automatically responsive.

Event Block - Shows event information (date, time, location, description). Pulls data from your events calendar. Subscribers can quickly see when and where events occur.

Call Block - Highlights an active call for submissions. Displays the call title, deadline, entry fees, and submission guidelines. Includes a link to the application form. Perfect for call announcements and reminders.

Artwork Block - Features a single artwork with title, artist name, medium, and dimensions. Ideal for highlighting featured works or artist spotlights.
