Ronald Trahan(He/Him)
I began my professional career as an English teacher after graduating from Boston University, evolving into a full-time newspaper reporter after several years in the classroom. For the past 30 years, I managed my international medical technology PR firm. Now that I am retired, I make time every day for my passion: creating Visual Art. I also have volunteered to read aloud to young children at a daycare center as part of the United Way's "K-Ready Readers" program. Additionally, I served for three years as a member of the board of directors of Gundalow, a nonprofit located in Portsmouth, NH, whose purpose is to protect the Piscataqua River region’s maritime heritage and the environment through education and action.
Artist Statement
My Guiding Principle: Restraint 1. An image should invite, never demand. 2. Every image should reward a second look. 3. Every second look should reveal something new. 4. Simplicity leaves room for the viewer. 5. Absence is as expressive as presence.
