About this Call
Established in 1942, The May Show is a juried fine art exhibition showcasing artists who live and/or work in Stark County.
The call for entries is open to any artist 16 years of age or older living or working in Stark County, Ohio. Artists may submit up to five pieces of artwork for consideration. Four images may be included in each submission. All works submitted must be original, recent (within the past three years) and not previously exhibited in a Little Art Gallery show. All media will be accepted.
Awards will be presented for: Best in Show $500, Second Place $400, Third Place $300, and People's Choice $100.

Submission Guidelines
ELIGIBILITY: Any artist 16 years of age or older living or working in Stark County, Ohio may submit entries.
LOCATION: The Little Art Gallery, 185 North Main Street, North Canton, OH, 44720
COMMISSION STRUCTURE: Artists retain 100 percent of sales. The Little Art Gallery is not for profit. Donations are accepted.
NOTIFICATION
Artists will receive an email notification of acceptance and/or rejection on April 15, 2026.
JURORS
Two independent jurors will select the works to be exhibited in the 83rd Annual May Show. All decisions of the jurors are final. Juror biographies will be printed in the exhibit catalogue.
AWARDS
Best in Show $500, Second Place $400, Third Place $300, People’s Choice $100
OPENING RECEPTION
Artists, friends, and family are invited to attend the opening reception Sunday, May 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
LIABILITY
Every precaution will be taken in the handling of submitted art, however, the Little Art Gallery and North Canton Public Library will not assume responsibility for loss or damage. The Little Art Gallery reserves the right to reproduce images for non-commercial publicity. By submitting, artists acknowledge that all accepted artwork must remain in the care of the Little Art Gallery through June 29, 2026. Any artwork not retrieved by July 14, 2026, will become the property of the Little Art Gallery.
By entering the 83rd Annual May Show, you grant the Little Art Gallery permission to share your contact information with any potential buyer interested in your work. Submission also confirms that you have read and agree to all terms and conditions outlined in the May Show entry form and the Little Art Gallery liability policy.
Requirements
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
All entries will be accepted online March 4 through April 4, 2026.
Each entry must include an identification card including the title, year created, medium, dimensions, and price.
Work must be completely ready to hang or display. Frames must be sturdy and in good condition. All art must be clean and free of debris, hair, dirt or other foreign objects. Hanging work must have D-rings secured to the back with wire attached. Eye hooks and saw tooth hangers will not be accepted. Art must be properly labeled with completed identification cards attached to the back. Three-dimensional works may have the identification card securely tied to them. The gallery reserves the right to disqualify any work that does not meet these requirements.
ENTRY FEE
A non-refundable fee of $15 must be submitted with each piece of art.
ACCEPTED ARTWORKS
Accepted artwork must be delivered on one of the following two dates: April 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and April 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. An artist representative may deliver art if the artist is unavailable. Please enter through the North Canton Public Library main entrance and proceed to the Little Art Gallery.
PICK-UP OF ACCEPTED ARTWORKS
Accepted artwork must be picked up on one of the following two dates: June 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and June 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. An artist representative may pick-up art if the artist is unavailable. Please enter through the North Canton Public Library main entrance and proceed to the Little Art Gallery.
